P4

Treatment:

Title Medium:   Stock-Frame/ Cell Animation

Running Time:   2-3 Minutes

Synopsis:  The show is about two birds who live together and get into weird and random situations. In the animation they are playing with a ball and Pidge hits Goose in the face. Pidge laughs but then gets hit by a ball from behind, knocking him into Goose and sending him flying into the distance. Later on Pidge is inside watching TV and then Goose crashing through the window and onto the floor. Pidge looks down and acknowledges his friend and turns to watch the TV again.

Characters:

   - Pidge: A grumpy overweight pigeon that lives with his roommate/ friend Goose. He is extremely lazy and easily annoyed with dry humour. He doesn't care for anything except making work easy and Goose, but he’d never admit that.

   - Goose: A very dumb goose who lives with his friend Pidge. Goose is a very dumb bird that gets confused easily and misunderstands a lot of situations. He loves swimming but is not very good at it, hence why he wears arm bands.

Voice over Artists:

Goose - David Berni

Pidge - Danny Devito

Key scenes:

Scene 1 - Pidge throws a ball to Goose and it hits him in the face, Goose doesn't even flinch at the contact. Pidge laughs at his friends stupidity but turns around when he hears a whistling noise and gets hit in the face by the same ball he threw.
Pidge gets sent flying by the ball and lands on the wooden floor he was standing on. The floorboards break and fling Goose into the air, Goose screams as he flies off into the distance.

Scene 2 - Pidge is sitting in the living room watching tv, a small box of chips sitting on his stomach and a drink in hand. Suddenly, Goose comes flying throw the window, shattering the glass and falling to the ground. Goose in covered in memorabilia from around the world. Goose lays on the floor looking both stunned and derpy. Pidge looks down at his friend and asks if he is ok, Goose mumbles some sort of reply making Pidge look back at the TV, uncaring for his friend.

Current Trends:  Cartoons have become a big trend in the media at the moment. This trend has come in a wide range of types, adult cartoons such as Rick and Morty to more PG cartoons like Steven Universe have made a big impact to 2018. Cartoons provide a break from reality for people, allowing them to switch off to reality and enjoy stupid humour. My animation will fit into current trends as it is similar to more PG cartoon humour with slapstick elements and memorable characters.

Target Audience:  My target audience will range from 6-16. Cartoons have become popular amongst teenagers recently and the audience for cartoons has been growing. Slapstick humour has become more popular recently which is what I will be using in my work to attract an audience and help make the animation funny and light hearted. The show will have no gore or swearing, making it suitable for all ages.
